Scottish Fire Heritage Group
The Scottish Fire Heritage Group is a voluntary organisation formed
to promote and encourage an interest in the history of the Fire Service
with an emphasis on the
history
of fire fighting in Scotland and to provide an educational Living
Museum facility. The Group restores and maintains for the benefit
of the public, historic fire fighting appliances, fire fighting
equipment and related artefacts, publications
and documents.
Our organisation has branches in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Those involved have a long and distinguished attachment with
providing a link to Scotland’s firefighting past and thanks
to the vision and commitment of this small but dedicated group
of enthusiasts, the preservation movement in Scotland has gone
from strength to strength.
Each
branch has its own preserved fire appliances together with period
equipment and uniforms.

The Group also attends where possible, and as requested, organised
events, especially those with a charitable cause.
